Bare Beginnings

Coming back home yesterday night, i was bit (actually a lot) tired after a late night out with friends on friday and an almost full day of shopping yesterday(for my upcoming India trip)....so i was just looking forward to go into hibernation(for the night at least :)) mode.Deep into sleep , all of a sudden some noises started resonating through my ears.Initially i thought it was the voice of god(when deep into sleep even a phone ring seems some sort of communication from the divine :))...but after the noise became more distinct into a verbiage of fu*k yous and associated expletives, i concluded it was not.

So without going through further rigmarole, apparently it was some infighting among a bunch of drunken guys and gals in the house across the street.Trying to doze off now i was getting all kind of thoughts and there was this one very strong thought of creating a blog.Maybe the idea of maintaining a blog was always kind of hovering in my head but never actually took shape. But today with nothing much else to do i finally decided to jump into it.

Two things which deeply influenced my take on friendship (and valuing them even more ) were watching Farhan Akhtar's magificient "Dil Chahta Hain" and reading Chetan Bhagat's wonderful "Five Point Someone".Both of them drove home some very important things about friendship without actually ever being preachy. They show to grow a ever lasting bond with your friends,

1. You should always be there for them under all circumstances unconditionally.
2. Never try to infringe in on their personal matters unless called for and always give
each their own space.
3. Money should be never be a matter of concern between friends.NEVER.
4. Have all the fun when you are "in the zone" with best of your friends.Who knows
where and with whom they might be tommorrow.

These and many other things about friends and friendship come across when you read/watch works from these people. It wasnt that i was a loner before all this but they kinda reinforced my feelings of having a long lasting friendship with people who are on the same frequency and share the same beliefs and things as i do.

So here's a toast to all my friends .Love you all :) !!!
